How am I supposed to know if a book is useful for my essay from the info provided about it in the catalog? I'm a DE student so cant look on the shelves to see if a book is relevant for my essay. Why dont you have more info about the book in the record, something like Amazon or Google. I'm sick of borrowing books that end up not being what I need and then having to pay for the postage to return them.

Is there any chance you can remove the "you can never be too thin" quote from the front page of the wiki? I certainly appreciate the fact that you can never have too many books :) but the thin part is a bit dangerous in this day and age of poor body image, peer pressure and so on. Cheers

This is not just a problem for DE students. I'm on the Orange campus and regularly borrow from Wagga. The lack of information in the catalogue make it difficult to know if a book is worth requesting or not. An abstract plus the contents page for each book would be great.

Thank you

Pete

Sometimes when I search the catalogue I find that there is alot of information for some books and none for others. Why is this? DE students need to know more about a book before we request it.
